Anyone have tab for the kickoff to George's "Overnight Male" for the E9th neck? I've come up with a passable kickoff (if I don't push my right foot too far forward on the volume pedal, lol) but it still don't sound quite right to me. Thanks!

I've played Dobro for 30+ years and on my Stringmaster D8 I have the near neck tuned to C6 and the far neck tuned to G6. I've been getting a lot of the Hawaiian tabs from John (thanks a bunch John) at juststeelguitar.com. They are all tabbed in A maj and I just transpose them over to G. Works for me!

Hey Denny, here is an excellent example of the non-pedal sounding like a psg by incorporating bar slants, behind the bar pulls and volume pedal swells.

Yes Rick, the guitar came from the vicinity of the Arkansas/Texas border so I imagine it's seen a few state line bars and dancehalls in it's days.

One interesting side note: underneath the tuning pans written in pencil is the date 12/54 and the initials LF (Leo Fender perhaps).

Thanks to all for the advice and no, I'm definately not going to refinish it. I just wanted to clean off some of the grime and dust that has accumulated over the past 50+ years. Tom, thanks for the tuner advice. I actually road bike so I have plenty of tri-flow at the house. I hadn't even thought of...

Ok, just saw that they are for pedal E9.

Is this for non pedal and what tuning are they?
