Ive yet to hear the PSG played in a way that I hate...I do like the classic stuff better but whatever floats your boat....

There is a TON of info on the dobro. I'd bet there is just as much instruction for it as there is for PSG. Id start with http://www.lessonswithtroy.com/

I think Rob sounded great. I love it when the lap steel is played in a dobro fashion. Seems like the best of both worlds.

Our house is 70 years old, and ungrounded. A few weeks ago I got shocked very bad...went and got a battery powered Vox DA-5 amp. Personaly, I will never plug into a ungrounded outlet. People have died that way...

Just about every song I hear on country radio has steel. It maybe buried under rock-guitar solos but it is there...

It's anything but dead.

I'd get a 8 string made by Allen Melbert(I hope this is spelled right!) right here in the good ol' USA. Then with the money I would save I'd get a new JB CD.
