Depending on the maker will determine how many floors or knees are on a SD-10/12 or S-10/12.Some makers have a standard 4/5- 5/5 some with 3/4 so to say there are rare is not really a fact(for lack of a better term).

If it were me I'd get a pc. of alum. flat stock ,drill a few mounting holes for screws & attach it to the existing brd.That's a piss poor way to build a pedal stop.Shame on Emmons.
