Nice post Danny. Wish I would have known you were in my neck of the woods as I frequent that establishment. Nice comments about Richard, all well deserved. Richard may not post so I will reply to Pookie’s question about Johnny Comeaux. Richard never met him nor did I. We heard he had passed on. Ha...

I wonder if I am one of Joe Rogers’ friends he referred to on his above post?? I was there with Junior Martin but sadly; we did not have a Kodak ('camera' in Cajun language). I even paid a $10 down payment for the future recording, which I do not regret as, this was a $1000.00 concert. I did have a ...

Bobby Terry from Houston and I believe in Nashville now as a recording engineer. I have a gospel 'cassette' where he played all instruments including pedal steel, lead guitar, fiddle, etc., etc. A great and typical Texas player that excels in all stringed instruments. Could some of our Houston area ...

David is correct. It is Rodney Miller, his son Ronnie on drums and the late Dick Richard on fiddle. Rodney is still working gigs around Lafayette, LoUiSiAna. Although the initials JM are shown, Junior Martin says he never owned this guitar.

Two things. First, I apologize to R.J. Buras for not showing him on the list. As you know, R.J. excels playing his Excel guitar. Secondly, gumbeau (gumbo) has been added to the mix. Mr. Larrell Richard will be head of the pot. He is well known for his gumbo and other Cajun cooking, great guy, great ...

Thanks Kelly Hydorn for reminding me of Ron Elliott’s version of this tune. At my age, I sometimes – or - always forget important things. It so happened that I had listened to Jeff's CD this week and it was fresh in my mind at the time of my post above. Now I have both, Jeff's and Ron's, "When ...
