I replaced the metal roller for the G# with a nylon one that I bought at Home Depot. You lose the slightest sustain, on the open note, but I never broke another string! The roller is an exact fit. I think it's a 1/4".

I got turned on to that by a studio player in L.A, and I also know that Brent Mason swears by those acrylics for his tele picking. ...

We had a great gig in Daytona! Perfect weather, nice crowd, most of them wearing clothes. My sweet old Pro-1 behaved itself, and we indulged ourselves in some fine vintage country music. I got to play the solo in "Together Again". Heaven. BTW..Merle is playing in Daytona on Feb 3rd.

Truth is..I bet I will be kicking myself for selling it in a few years, but right now, it's almost too heavy for me to move, so there's that issue too.
