Es sharp or straight up? (Peterson content)

I've always tried to stick to the later Newman chart when it comes to tuning, with sharped Es. And once I got my Peterson tuner (StroboStomp 2), it made that easier, since it has a "sweetened" PSG tuning with sharped Es that is based off of the later JN chart. However, my tuner also has a ...

Thread repair with JB Weld -- original or SteelStik?

Doing a thread repair on a few of my pedal rods. The quick-connects are ok, but the locking nuts don't all hold. Already tried chasing the threads with a die and getting new nuts. Looks like it may be time for epoxy. My plan is to epoxy the rod ends, let dry and cure, and then re-thread again with t...

I adore Graboff’s steel playing. I’ve played this one before live a few times, but never precisely tabbed out the exact parts, esp the stuff behind the singing.

I feel you should practice with the exact same setup as you use onstage. Practice is more than playing; it's learning to use your equipment & effects to the fullest. There's probably a lot of truth to this, but I have two small kids, and I'm not going to risk waking them and my wife up when I p...
