OK Carl I removed the rod and worked the pull rod (the square bar) by hand and it still squeaked. I lubed the tuning knob of the low B string and that seemed to help. Still squeaks but not a bad. Maybe that will eventually go away. There is so much lub every where I guess I will have to play "t...

barn door
I checked the pedal as suggested but the sound seems to come from the top of the rod connected to the pedal immediately beneath the board. Or in that area. It is really hard to find it because the noise travels through the complete mechanism.
Thanks for the reply.
I'll keep trying.

barn door squeak
I have a GFI E9 and some of the pedals squeak like a barn door as I play. Is there some kind of special lub I can use on it? This is the floor pedals and knee levers. I heard not to use WD 40. It really gets annoying.
Any help will be appreciated.

OK Bobby
I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. You said to start with the hex nuts backed off. I wasn't doing that so I couldn't get it. I backed all of them off and tuned the keys first except E everything is good to go.
Thank all of you for your help.

OK Jeff I did it the way you said with the tuning keys first but after I tune the nylon tuners and go back and check the tone of the first tuning it is way off. All I do is keep chasing it from the tuning keys to the nylon keys and I can't tune it. It is the blue model. I would like to find someone ...

I would guess this has been on this forum before but I can't find it. Does anyone have the instructions for tuning the E9 strings, pedals, and knee levers? I have tried several times and I just can't get it. I don't understand how you can turn the knobs at each end of the same string and get two dif...

I have a Korg tuner and it has several frequecies in the four hundred range. Can any one tell me which range I should tune my E9 in? I am really having a problem trying to tune this thing. I can't figure out how you can tune the same string at each end with two different knobs and not change the fir...

rod slapping
Donny I did what you said about laying on the floor and watching the rods. I guess if you were here you would slap me for what I found out. The noise seemed to be coming from the pedal itself so I discovered the bar or frame that the pedals are mounted to came loose from the right end and that is wh...

I guess I don't fully understand BIAB. Here is my problem. Apparently biab is written in 4/4 timing. If I want to change it to 3/4 timing I go to edit and go down to (set timing signature) click that and click the dot for 3/4 timing. There is no place to save the setting so it goes back to 1/4 timin...
