C6th string gauge recommendations

Hi
I use the prepackaged c6th strings for my 22.5" scale lap steel

I'd like to tune my Oahu squareneck guitar (non Reso) 24.5" scale in c6th. Any recommendations for guages?

so my new design did not work.. I uses Velcro attached to a different slide for my index finger and middle,, my fingers doesn't have the strength to use it this way the way I currently hold it in the pic above gives me the best control and strength I believe Mike and others mentioned attaching felt ...

they were missing the buttons.. I just put those on so I could string it up...

the "mechanisms" are tight.. some are bent or a little sloppy , and some are not easy to turn...

Hi Doug I ordered those knobs thanks again New replacement "Chicken Head" knobs are available from http://angela.com http://angela.com/images/products/detail/310113255921.jpg They are for 1950s amps, but may fit your New Yorker. Check the specs. Fits 1/4" dia. solid shaft guitar pots....

I looked at it a little closer.. looks like it is broken off just after the cover.. that's where the white plastic stops also
