Sho Bud 1971 Professional D-10

No takers yet so the price is now $2600. This guitar has such a beautiful tone. If there was a Les Paul pedal steel, this would be it.

I could meet you in Dallas at the Steel Show next week. That would save about 250 miles. Seems like Nashville to Dallas is about 700 miles.

Sho Bud Professional 1971 D-10

I bought this new in 1971. It has Emmons 8 pedals and 4 knees and hasn't been played much since the 70's. Trying to cut my herd from seven down to two or three. If you want a classic, you won't find a prettier one than this. Asking $3000. I've even got the old Sho Bud volume pedal but I'm sure it ne...

Thanks Ron,

That's a great idea! Kind of a MacGyver thing, or if you had used bamboo it could have been the professor on Gilligan's Island! It's so much better than 4 phone books.

Frank Carter

It's Frank's fault that I'm a steel player. I stood behind him playing bass for 6 months in 1971. When the gig was over, I sold the '63 P bass for $200 and bought my first steel. I should have kept that bass but the good news is now I play an Infinity!!

WTT: Are your legs too long for your Zum?

I have a 15 year old Zum D-10 that has 27" legs and rods which is 1 inch longer than standard. It's a little bit too tall for me and I'm looking for someone who wants to trade their 26" set of 4 legs and 8 rods for a 27" set. Everything is in good shape, just 1" too long.

I got them all right but now I know why I run out of the room every time Natalie Merchant sings, and thanks for the tip that it won't run on Firefox!

Hey Herb,

Are you ready to trade that Fess back. I think it misses me and I need a Montana rig.

Hi Stu and Hi Stormy!! Where have you guys been?

Herb is right, tone is in the fingers. Pick one note and play it over and over until it sounds right. Think about the way BB King plays.

How about this one for proper respect for the steel player. They love steel guitar in France!

I have two True Tone pickups, one has a broken mounting hole but both work fine. $100 for the pair plus shipping.

My legs are too long.

If anyone has a Zum and would like to raise the guitar one inch, then I would like to trade. The legs that came with this guitar are just a little higher than normal. (4 legs & 8 rods) I feel like a little kid when I play this guitar.
