On October 5th I ordered an accessory tray for $39.99 and was charged for it as well. I have not recieved it as of yet and then I see this post. I wonder if I will get it now and then if not what to do.
I emailed them this morning to see if what the story is. We will see.

Close is the Real Thing
Richard, The question is simply "how close is close enough?" Larry, I think you feel the same way if I am reading your post correctly. How close is "The Real Thing and Only the Real Thing" for me anyway. There is no way that anything; but a real steel player, can evoke such emot...

Could not agree more
I'm so thankful that I choose another profession and used music as a hobby. I have played for nearly 46 years. Some professionally and most for fun. My first marraige prevented me from carrying on in a life I thought I wouldv'e wanted forever. My second marraige to my absolute best friend in life h...

She Still Thinks I Care
Roger,
I just heard you for the first time. Very well played and a joy to listen to 3 or 4 time just now alone and some more in the future. Nice sweet sounds. Thank you for posting that.

Clint, your steel body is superb. The finish is second to none! Bent, Thank you for the compliment - it was what I needed after all the work. I have designed a new attaching method but probably could not get it down to manufacturing cost of $2 to $3 dollars per piece and at 20 - 30 per steel guitar...

Tell us the kind of finish you used and the procedure, like spray? brush? buff afterward? I am glad you asked. Hours: Actual - about 65 hours over 2 months time Wood: Birdseye Maple from Hardwood, Lumber and Millwork from Lakeland Florida at a cost of $150.00 for about 10 BF. (The eyes were not as p...

New vs Old
Leslie - It is a 1974ish Linkon D-10 where the body started to crack and fall apart. The mechanics I think are some of the best I have seen. I think Wayne did a fantastic job with these. It is quiet and fairly smooth. I built the new body out of Birdseye maple. I spoke to Wayne when I purchased the ...

Great Looking Body
Oh - You meant the Pedal Steel
Thank you. Even after tonight's work, I am still not done. The art work came today but have only tried it on some old work to see if it is compatible.
Thanks again

New vs Old
Guys and Gals, There have been several posts that go either way. I am an old 50 year old guy who absolutely loves the mechanics of my steels. I just kept all of the mechancis of my 1974 and made a new body; Birdseye maple natural color with 9 coats of water based polyurethane gloss. It is a little m...

Guys, here are some of the pics of the new ClinCher Pedal Steel Guitar. I am now ready to install the 8 pedal rods, install the pick-ups and electrics, final tweeks and then the all important artwork. The rods and clips went in so easy tonight - all 10 in 40 minutes. Then the knee levers - still nee...

Thank you Danny for the compliment and the pic. That would be alot easier than mine The one I am using is shown in the bottom of Don Browns reply. I think the new body is really well done and when all is said and done, I will have virtually a new pedal steel. Thanks Don Brown for the advice. I have ...

Rod Clips
I had already mounted the levers and pull bars to the undercarraige. It was really much easier after I attached the clip to the rod and then just slid it down the flat part of the changer pull. On the C6th side there is many more rods but I suspect they will go much quicker than tonight. From a mech...

Hard time in E9thville
To all my steel friends. I have been a mechanical engineer for nearly 30 years. I have been playing country music for 46 years starting in 1963 at the age of 4. I play most country instruments and enjoying working on them. There in lies the problem, WORKING ON THEM . My 34 year old D-10 steels was w...

Linkon Steel Guitars
I have an early Linkon D-10 pedal steel from approx. 1974. I have yet to find anyone thus far with any other Linkon Steels. Does anyine know of or actually own any early Linkon Steels? They were made in Canada.
