I wanted a blues machine (Open E tuning) that would give me a WIDE variety of tones. I have one of Tom's teardrop lap's in the 8 string configurations that I am giving my son for Christmas. Basically, my son will be using it for the same type of application. What gauge/set of strings should be used...
