Anybody know who the steel player was on that song?

Bill Lister

I had the good fortune to meet Big Bill in Llano, Texas backstage at the Llano Opry. He and I hit it off from our first words spoken. What a gentleman he was. I wish I could have spent more time with him.

I got to know Lynn at various Swing Festivals and some Hall of Fame events. Very likeable guy and I sure did enjoy his singing. The CD he autographed for me will be put in a safe place.

Tommy was a very nice man and very talented. Jody told me he worked several positions in Hoyle's band. He will be missed.

I agree that this organization is super good. It was my pleasure to be there a couple years back when my buddy Curt Shoemaker was inducted into the Hall of Fame. If you haven't been to one of their shows, please go, especially you folks just across the line in Missouri, Oklahoma and all you Kansas s...

Jimmy Murphey

On the recording of I LOVE YOU BECAUSE by Carl Smith.

I have heard it was Jimmy Murphey and I have heard it was Chalker. Can someone set the record straight? I know Murphey worked for Carl around the time that session was done.

Help.
