Try the Ray Price Sings Bob Wills made in about 1962. Jimmy plays the hold album, but I don`t how much of it would be C-6.

There are many. Johnny once said his music was the steel guitar. THE SOUND of A HEARTACHE is a great one. It was Jimmy Day on 10 of them and Buddy Emmons on 2. TEXAS LEGEND vol 1 and JOHNNY BUSH GREATEST HITS 1968-1972 are 2 more great ones. Yes, it was Dickey on I`LL BE THERE as well as many other ...

I Fall to Pieces-- In the early 1960`s, Jimmy DAY plays for 2 minutes and 47 seconds, from intro to the finish, on that Ray Price song. He is featured all the way through and I can`t hear a fiddle on the song. Superb job!

He had Commercial Pilot ratings for Airplane Single Engine land and Airplane Multiengine Land. He probably had a Private Pilot Certificate before he received his Commercial. One of...

I would bet on Craig Schmidt. There is another recording on line showing more of the Edna TX. Opra. One has Randy Boyd, Craig Schmidt, and Bobby Flores playing their steels together and separate. A good one to watch.

That picture even confirms my guess that is Jim Loessberg. To me the picture looks more like him than the live seen on You Tube. Maybe someone will come up with the real steel player`s name.

Herb, you could be right. That date was the date I bought the tape. I bought Jimmy Day and The Texas Outlaw Jam Band at the same time. Scotty could have had them a long time. It had J&M Productions with a Buda, TX. address written on the tape cover.
