NOT Photoshop'd

This will probably get moved, but what the heck!

I saw this and it reminded me of that photo of the super long steel guitar that someone (Jon Light?) posted a while back.

Not a steel guitar, but also, not Photoshop'd:

Hey, Lee. Actually, I think I was still in New York at the time. Not sure why the location info says Los Angeles, unless the web software picks up the location info from the current profile when it creates the page... I think that's the longest it's ever taken me to get an answer on the Forum... (BT...

For probably $10 or less you could go to the hardware store and get a tap handle (like a drill chuck with a "T" handle) and a tap of the right size (4-40? 6-32?) and you'd be able to tap tuner nuts for the rest of your life... (I've tried to get those Geo-L's nuts directly onto the rods an...

Have any of these pickup guys (Lollar, Wallace) tried the "stacked" single-coil approach yet? The BL-910 is a "stacked" humbucker. I tried it in my Mullen and, although it sounded good, I preferred the sound of a single coil. It has a TrueTone in it now. I also th...

Have no personal experience with the LGII but it should be pretty simple. At least it was on my Mullen. You'll first want to unsolder the pickup wiring from any switch or jack. (Photograph or draw a picture first so you can get it back the same way!) With the strings off just unscrew whatever screws...

I have found that playing on carpet is next to impossible. The pile plus the pad underneath equal way to much mush to try and deal with. I much prefer a hardwood floor. Or you could do what I did and get a couple of 2ft x 4ft pieces of 3/4" plywood, give them a few coats of polyurethane and use...

I've sprayed a guitar body a couple of times, but I used nitrocellulose lacquer. If you're doing a transparent color the stain is usually mixed with the lacquer. With multiple coats this can give a really nice, deep color. I've heard that sunburst can go either way; stain sprayed on the wood or used...

Maybe a ground-loop hum? If you're using two amps, maybe you need to lift the ground on one of them. I think you can do this by using one of those three-prong-to-two-prong plug adapters. Don't know how safe this is. Maybe the electronics gurus will weigh in... ------------------ http://members.aol.c...
