Well after posting the question I decided to try the short pull on A pedal. I find it pretty handy for fast runs. But I went back - same reason - better control.

I've used a long pull on my A pedal for years. But I was curious what other players liked (long or short) and why?

I prefer RKL - I started out that way; and for me, I find it very musical to use these combination of knee levers: lower the E's and G# together (LKR=G# to F#), and lower E's + AB pedals + vertical = diminished chord or single note runs.

Does anybody know: Can u split or tap coils on a BL 710?
If so, has anyone done this; and how does it sound?

Oops! Brain fog! I already have a compensator on the A pedal for the 7th string (that makes the 7th in perfect tune with the 5th-no pedals and in perfect tune with the 5th-with A pedal)

I'm looking at putting a compensator on the F (raise) knee lever to bring the 7th string in tune. But was curious what other options folks do.

I have the same amp. Here are my suggestions: 0. Use the Normal channel, not Overdrive Channel (for a clean steel sound) 1. Don't use the bright switch 2. Don't use any presence, or very little 3. Boost the bass to 7 or all the way 4. Middle to half or 3/4 5. Treble 2-5 (season for taste!) 6. Reverb...
