Ok, I'm done.
"Can't say enough about Dan Huff, absolutely amazing"
Back to the real world, the Pod is a great tool and is pretty much completely tweakable if you take the time.

Thanks
I'm trying a combination of things recommended. A friend of mine let me borrow the Cindy Cashdollar (non pedal) C6 videos for a basic starting point. I ordered the Emmons basic C6 book with CD. Thanks guys.

Help me with C6
So I did it, after about 2 months of playing on my first pedal steel, I decided to go ahead and let myself spend some more money and get a D-10. I just got the guitar yesterday and I'm figuring it all out. I'd like to know some favorite C6 books and videos for getting started. Theory doesn't scare m...

Happy
I just got the guitar today and it's my first shot at the C6 neck but I'm in love. Nothing against my Dekley but the Derby is Sooo much better. Thanks Danny.

unused fx loops
I agree with Ken, it's about the right age. Amps all over the world with FX loops that have never been used are coming up "broken" because of unused jacks storing 10-15 years of dust and funk. The jumper works a quite frequently on intermitent crackles and sound cutting out and "oh no...

It isn't natural
Just my two cents, I just started playing a few months ago and being a 6 string player for most of my life, the finger picks felt all wrong. I had pretty much made up my mind to just use fingers and then I tried some national picks and it didn't feel like somebody else's hand, so it gave them a litt...

Don't tell my wife
I just started playing in April. I bought a Dekley S-10 because I wanted to give it a shot. We'll just say it took. In the last week bought a Derby D-10 and an MSA D-10 Classic. I wish there was a "Steel" shop near me but there isn't so the try before you buy isn't an option for me. I'm wa...

Consensus
I think the hardest thing to do would be gather a consensus on anything tone related. As a 6 stringer I usually don't favor the same speakers I do for steel so that makes a big problem for me. Combining any 2 different things into one always calls for some compromise and who likes that? But as a gear...

The Lindy Fralin blues specials are pretty cool pickups. Just slightly overwound from stock. The last time I was on the phone with Lindy, he said Brad Paisley had just ordered 9 more of them. I have a these, the seymour duncan antiquity's and the seymour duncan broadcaster bridge and like them all p...

about protools...
Only digidesign hardware works with protools unless you have the m-powered version which will work with most m-audio interfaces. Personaly I like the presonus stuff. Tascam makes one that would fit the bill. http://www.presonus.com/products/Detail.aspx?ProductId=43 http://www.tascam.com/products/us-...

Why do you have to like tube amps?
Is there a sound you have in your head that you haven't gotten yet? Some sound from an album you want to attain? Your ears don't lie. If tubes make your brain hurt, get rid of them. Liking what you're hearing makes playing worthwhile to me. If I don't like the sound, I'd rather stop playing for the ...

How do you put your finger on it?
I feel like the the thing with tube amps in general is that for the most part each one imparts a certain character to the tone. That character ends up being somewhat unique based on tube choice, speaker choice, circuit type, transformer choice, capacitor choices, bias settings and overall amp health. The...

EV speakers??
Just wondering if anyone has tried using any of the EV guitar speakers? I've only heard them being used with a screaming Marshall. I do have a couple Jazz playing friends that use them too. They're heavy and somewhat expensive but they're rated for like 200-300 watts each.

I'm waiting on this one too...
I really want to hear this one too. The inclusion of the digital effects makes me wonder if it's Fender's answer to the Spider Valve??? (Why can't Fender train a bunch of underpaid people to make eyelet board reissues?)

It's all about money.
For Line 6 it wouldn't be profitable to make it easy to power their pedals with just any power supply, but we had to know it would run on dc power because you can use batteries to run it. They learned from Roland who never puts specs on their Power supplies, just a model number so you have to run ou...

Line 6 power supply
Just so you know, the voodoo labs pedal power which is the "go to" power supply for many touring guitar players provides 250ma on two of it's outputs for players that have the line 6 pedals, so 250ma should be a safe enough mark. Hope that is helpful enough. The big problem most people hav...
