Hmmm,I know we need a new video, that was the best I could do with the playing ability and camera equipment I had. I'm not sure what more I can do guys. Any ideas? One thought I had when I saw Bill's first post was that we have a lot of guys using everything we build out there now. If you guys could...

I had one other thought Jim, we always suggested rolling the tone control back 20% with that pickup. Give that a try and let me know what you hear.

Hey that's a good one Jim, It's a 88 model (1988 released) Powerslide. That's a George L E66 pickup with Grovers and the ole Pro-form body. That's why it sounds a bit sharp, the body is foam with a metal plate for density in the back which made them bright. You can use a different saddle componant a...

Hi Jim, Since you asked me directly here we'll see if we can figure out what guitar you're looking at. The early 60's and 70's guitars always had 10 keys. Most were sunburst. They had Mosrite or Rosac pickups. Not really bad guitars but there was an article in Sept. '91 Guitar Player Magazine when d...

Well as you can imagine, I felt insulted by Andy's post. I feel like the people on this forum are the most fun group of friends I've had because I seldom get to just talk about steels. As I think with all of us here, we don't have a dozen people within our city block who enjoy talking about Resonato...

Heard we had some questions to answer. On the bridge spacing and nut spacing, remember these are custom guitars and you can get whatever you want. We did make the Supersteel so it could interchange from the Single coil Stringmaster pickups to the Lawrence humbucking pickups. So the spacing had to ma...

I know I shouldn't say anything here but it's more important that Al gets a playable guitar than to be politically correct. Al, we had the same problem with that pickup last year and if you go through the past Forum comments, I brought it up to the Forum to make a decision, of what to do with that w...

Mark is probably right about the model there. Go to our site and look at the Products listed and compare it. Then send us an email at the site with "jump start" in the subject box. We'll send you the cassette free and that will give you a taste of different instructors like Cindy Cashdolla...

Hi Tommy, I'm not sure how we missed you. The only thing I can think of is that we don't open any emails without a subject on it. We get so many emails from all over that we have been really hurt a couple of times by viruses. Happy 99 cost me a hard drive. So anyone out there that we may not have re...

I think the best "next step" instructions for Resonator are David Hamburger's Dobro Workbook and LeRoy Mack's Houndog ramble. Both have excellent tablature and a CD to work with that makes all the differance, and both have that fast almost banjo pace that takes it a step beyond. I think wh...

We've talked and talked about it, and you guys have had a lot of input on this guitar. I have some pictures of it on our site under the Store Icon-"hotsheet"(could you link that for me Brad, I'm a bit slow on that stuff). I really feel good about them, they all have the Pat. NS head that f...

Again I agree that the key board stand is the cheapest and easiest. But I'm glad to finally be able to have an answer for the the guys who've wanted detachable adjustable legs. We did a new angle on the back legs that took the wobble out, thanks for the emails on that.

Well I agree that the key board stand is the easiest quick way and I like it's steady feeling, you guys that have seen the free video have seen me showing one. Legs

I've looked around and tried what's out there, to put legs on a Lap Steel, and the expense and routing didn't seem practical to me. We just came up with a screw on version that the Dexco legs will work well with for sitting or standing. It's on my "hot sheet" under the store at www.melobar...

A few weeks ago there was the question here on the forum if there was a cassette or something to hear the Fiberglass versus wood sound. Finally have it along with the new GB-I models with the new faces,(under "hot sheet" Store icon on the site). I used a good Gibson Dobro, that LeRoy Mack ...

It was one of our Teleratts but the more deluxe model than what you see on the Web site. Lawrence pickups, side jack, Grovers with the finish you see under Store-Hotsheet under Rattler Deluxe. Glad you liked it, made my day, having to work through T-day.

John emailed me a really beautiful case today that I highly recommend to anyone wanting a case for any lap steel. Give him some time to get it to you, the ole rule
(PRICE-QUALITY-TIME = Pick 2) always applies in custom work. His cases would be well worth the time.

Thanks Gerald, The Supersteel stand does have the same leg angle out as the Stringmaster. We felt the same way about the look and stability. We used the Dexco Steel guitar legs and they will telescope out high enough for a 6' person to stand comfortably and play. The one thing I haven't figured out ...
