Tuners for Peavey PowerSlide

I saw a PowerSlide where the tuners had been replaced with Gibson style keystone. Can't remember where I saw it. Has anyone done this? Thanks!

Certano benders on a National D8 console

I bought a set of Certano benders to install on my Peavey PowerSlide. I then received a call from some friends that wanted me to play in a band they were forming and add steel, guitar synth (fiddle, banjo), and whatever else. In doing so, I pressed my National D8 back into service. I want to put the...

Still looking. Has any one done one with a 3D printer? Has any one modified the metal one, similar to the Gretsch, or a Fender bass cover? Just curious. I was told a while back that I could make one myself with plexiglass, but I'm not that gifted. Thanx in advance.

Thanx. I wanted to avoid the rout, but since I've already bastardized it by changing the jack and tuners, I guess it's no big deal. Thanx!

Shallow mount 1/4" panel mount jack

I have a National D8 console. The original screw on jack disintegrated and I replaced it with a standard SwitchCraft. It skews the metal plate everything is attached to, out about a 1/2" or so. It works, but I'd like to have it back where the screw on connector was. I know I can rout it out a b...

National D8 plastic pickup covers

Searched and didn't find anything. I need creme plastic pickup covers for my National D8. I have one for one neck, but the other one has broken. Does anyone make these any more? I remember some time ago, people on here recommending I make my own with plexiglass, tinfoil and an iron. A little too old...

I just got a Calzone keyboard case off eBay that fits the guitar. No, it's not perfect, but with some foam, it may be closer than anything. As for the bridge, I was wanting a roller bridge, but they all seem to be mounted like Gibson Tune-o-matic's with the studs and all. If I understand correctly, ...

Re: National Dynamic question

My questions are: Did this originally come with a "plastic" covered fretboard like my Triplex? and.. I like the sound of these early "VistaTone" P/Us the National D is about 2.5 inches long and the Triplex about 1.5 inches? Seem to be from the same time period, what's the differ...

Thank you for all the replies. Just for giggles, I searched for Peavey Powerslide case. I found this: https://www.castlecases.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2268 I figured it was expensive @ $168.20, but see what it would cost out the door. The shipping was more than the case! ...

Yes, 2 inches clear of the back edge of the bridge. I've never had a Powerslide to try it out on, but looking at photos, the space behind the bridge might be OK but it doesn't seem to have the bridge height needed for the Certano. Also, the two " unbending " strings either side of it, mig...

Sorry to be late to the party. If this isn't the place to post, please delete and I'll post elsewhere. I bought a PowerSlide a few years ago and it worked well for what I was doing. My biggest problem with it was the crappy bag, and strap. Has anyone found a case or keyboard bag that works? Any bett...

2" clear of the bridge is the absolute minimum depth needed to fit the Certano, the mounting plate is smaller than this, but the rocker sections that do the work will foul on the bridge if they don't have the 2" to move in. The contact point on the rollers that take the string ends are 3/...

Peavey PowerSlide and HipShot Trilogy

I've just done a search and didn't find anything on this so, hopefully this isn't a dupe. I got a PowerSlide from my lovely wife for Christmas last year. Love it. Yes, the strap and the gig bag are cheap, but do the job for now. The biggest thing I find lacking is being able to go to multiple tuning...

Jason Aldean's steel player?

The Truth A band I play with has done this song live. I sold my Emmons S10 years ago... I currently have a National D8 console and a National Dynamic. I tried playing this on both and had trouble. I then switched to my Line 6 Variax and played it in open A using a LP model. It comes close, but not ...

Kick stand for my Dynamic...

Ok... I installed a strap lock on my National Dynamic and use a tie thing similar to the dobro neck strap... it works good, but I have trouble balancing it on my belly... Has anyone developed a sort of kick stand that will keep the thing from flipping? Thanx!
