Wheel came apart

Well just cause I was already there buying pellets for my grill I thought I would check at Academy for inline skate wheels Like Barry Coker said and much to my surprise they had some wheels that were virtually identical to what was on there. I even talked the girl working there to just sell me just ...

I'm not blaming Kevin's quality of choice for the wheels I have pulled this case over several types of terrain over the period of time I've had the case. I've had the same thing happen to a suitcase before. I'm sure it's more my fault than anything I've just decided to get the wheels a break for now...

Wheel came apart

Thanks for all the replies , I think for now I'll just take the wheels off and use my cart to move the steel . When I get a few more Steel gigs I'll replace them .

Wheel came apart

I have a Hatton case that I have been using for a few years now and the wheel seem to be coming apart has anyone else had this happen? Is just the wheel part itself replaceable?
Thanks

Thanks Neil

Thanks for your input, I am in no hurry to sell or trade this guitar. It does have a story behind it, I was a custom build for another steel player and for some reason he didn't pick it up after the fact. He lost his deposit on it which was a gain for me because the store let me purchase it for the ...

Sho-Bud Pro II

This Steel was refurbished by Jim Palenscar about 3 years ago. Has Wallace pickups. I've never had the time to become proficient on the C6 neck and age has gotten me wanting something lighter to take out on gigs when I do them on occasion. Decided to keep https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2020-...

Boss EQ pedal settings for Dobro

Anyone know of someplace to start with the Boss EQ pedal as far as settings for dobro emulation? I know there will be some tweaks needed for each different setup. I guess I could RTA my dobro and try to match with my steel and eq but that's a big undertaking .

tone pedal from volume pedal

I did a mod a few years back were I put a switch on a volume pedal that kicked in a variable treble bleed like in a 6 string electric. The guy I did it for wanted it kind of backwards as he's volume went up he wanted it to be a darker sound. So it was a challenge to find a Pot that was dual to make ...

Push Pulls

I think the big tone difference in the PP guitars is how the changer sits in relation to the body of the guitar. It's seems to be a more positive connection .

Roland Amps at Sweetwater

If you were thinking about getting a Roland amp but don't have all the bucks right now Sweetwater is doing 48 months no interest on Roland stuff right now. I have no affiliation with Sweetwater at all just thought that was a crazy offering.

Just wanted to thank Gary Sill for providing me with a wiring diagram for a product I didn't purchase from him . Rest assured I will be making some purchases from him to support his business. It's great that we have people in this Steel Guitar community willing to help one another.

There are lots of variables to getting tone . I run of course a different pedal Steel . I have a buffered Volume pedal that would make a difference . Also picks and picking technique can make a difference in tone. I'm glad your happy with the S2012 , I played a guitar gig on my Mustang amp this pass...

I use the studio pre-amp for the amp and turn it up pretty high on both the gain and volume . I set the highs between 4 and 5 the mids about 2 and the lows about 8 . Reverb and Delay to taste . The reason I changed out the speaker was the stock speaker had too much high end for my ears for the Pedal...

Freeloader

I know this subject has been talked about several times. What the Freeloader, the Lil Izzy and other devices like those cure the problem of Impedance between a Pickup and a Volume pedal . So it won't change or enhance the amp but what it does do is let the amp see more frequency response coming out ...

Speaker impedance

They do that in some cases where they use the same speaker in multiple devices to save manufacture cost. Most amps don't work well down to a 2ohm load .

I bought the guitar used so I'm not totally sure about that. I just know it's not noisy and sounds pretty good to me. If I had to make a guess I think they are 710's James, I think the perceived volume difference had to do with the frequency response difference in the area that at least my ears are ...

Sorry for the delay but fires out here in Ventura an LA counties have messed with me a bit. Josephus The TT speaker was a bit louder. Well it doesn't seem like there is as much interest as I thought there would be .
