Arlen has some lessons up on the Gibson website, him playing on regular guitar but in open E

And John Tuggle also has about 4-5 dvd's for Open E, like Arlen he's doing it with bottleneck.

Hope this helps

I also had information overload when i started and got kind of discouraged about it. But then i realized, it's not a race, take it bit by bit and learn that and move on. A great video or a great teacher is very helpful as well. Reading about a triad and trying to figure out how the notes relate and ...

Wow Basilh, what i wouldn't give to have a CD of those demos to play along with. I've had BIAB for over a year and all it leads me towards is more frustration!! Seriously, somebody should put out a play along CD that sounds as good as that. I think a lot of players (at least beginners like myself) w...

How do i?!?!

New to BIAB, have figured out some of it, but the one thing that i can't seem to work out is this: 1-I import an MP3 to BIAB 2-Run it thru the Chord Analyzer 3-It shows the chord progression in the yellow blocks 4-I change to the style i want to hear it in Real Tracks 5-I go to play it and i get the...

Intermediate, Advanced Levels

I know there are no definitive guidelines, but i would like some idea of when i "graduate" from Fumbling Beginner to Intermediate in my playing skills. What qualities should i have to make that claim? And then of course, what would i have to learn to reach the next level of Advanced. I've ...

Really enjoyed your video as i have many, many others over the past couple of years. Your playing is one of the one's that inspired me to learn steel in the first place, always wanted to say thank you for that. So there, i did it! Could you tell me what brand instrument you're playing on, i'm trying ...

Get some Grado's, they're made in Brooklyn and they're the best by miles and miles. I think they run around $60 or 70.

Don't know anything about what it comes with/without. I wrote them about trying to lay it away (you have to be local in order to do that) but you can call them or ask them & i'm sure they'll let you know. Ask if they'll take some additional pictures for you to see what it looks like. They tend t...

Not that i'm playing gigs with it or anything, but i really like the sound that this (Alino pickup I believe?!?) puts out: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix0812/7939_Regal_3_1.jpg Wish i had more experience with laps in general, sin...

Just curious, i was reading the Fender Restoration thread (Alan you are AMAZING!) and someone mentioned an Alkaire tuning. What exactly is that and how did it get it's name?!?! Also i am wondering what does the 6 stand for in C6 tuning as well as the #13 in E 13 tuning. Total newbie questions from a...

After about two weeks of using a nut extender on an old Fender Squire, i've went ahead and bit the bullet and upgraded to this: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix0808/7939_Regal_1_1.jpg http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix0808/7939_Regal_2_1.jpg http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix0808/7939_...
