Double stick tape

Best I've used is made by 3M, #467 MP. It's permanent. Available on Amazon for under $7. I've used the #77 spray adhesive but it's more work to mask everything before spraying.

BL-705 pickup

Jzchak Wajcman, dba Bill Lawrence USA is the source for the BL-705 steel guitar pickup. I've used them in many lap steels. My last order was never acknowledged, emails aren't answered, and his phone is no longer working. Anyone know if he is still alive?

Melbert with Certano

This is a 10 string Melbert with a Certano bender. String thru body, Melbert custom gauged roller bridge and roller nut. I've worked with both the Doosy Multibender and the Certano. The Mutltibender can raise or lower strings and has the bridge rollers built in. The Certano only raises the pitch and...

Thanks Joe, those are the two threads I read. One was a 6-string tuning and the other had a lot of comments such as "My take on it is....." and so forth which seemed to be many people guessing at what it could be. Somehow I missed your definitive tuning. I appreciate your post. Bob

Sleepwalk tuning?

I'm building an 8-string lap steel for a customer who wants it tuned the same as the original C#m7 Sleepwalk tuning. I've done several forum searches and can only confirm C#m7 tuning without the names of the individual strings. A search of C#m7 tuning gives results for several different C#m7 tunings...

For the nuts, this might work. In the McMaster Carr catalog they are "Binding Barrels" but I've seen them advertised as "Chicago bolts" and "Sex bolts". Sometimes the nuts can be purchased separately. https://www.mcmaster.com/sex-bolts/18-8-stainless-steel-binding-barre...
