I've only been posting 30 minutes or less. Just made it with this one. No way I am going to make these under 10 minutes without new eyes, new glasses, a new brain, and a new computer. :)

Re: The Time Jumpers at 3rd & Lindsley

I took a few videos of The Time Jumpers at 3rd & Lindsley on Monday, Oct. 12th. I won tickets to the show via Facebook. They had a table waiting for us, and the videos were taken with my cell phone from our seats. Here is a link to my You Tube channel. Some of the videos are a little shaky... m...

It would cost more in travel from CA to WI than the guitar. :) Here's the link.

Here's an odd one from CL

Up for grabs is a 12-string pedal steel. Was built by a man, named Larry Conway Dunway. Was designed for two sets of six strings. Has DeArmond pickups. Asking 425 OBO. Put a little time into this, and you can have yourself a sweet set-up. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1403/7904_pedalsteel1_1...

Re: Interesting device, hammer Jammer

Since I started playing steel many years ago, I have imagined a device like this. Anyone else? Well someone has done it for acoustic and electric guitars. Why not? I think it would be a cool effect. Comments? http://www.guitarworld.com/hammer-jammer-key-hammering-device-guitars-available-preorder-t...

Re: Arranging breakthrough! Sometimes less is indeed more.

Man, It's been a long time since I've had a lap steel epiphany. For a few weeks, I've been struggling with an arrangement in DBGDBE (hi-low) of the old Dusty Springfield hit (also covered by everyone and their Grandma) Just a Little Lovin' Early in the Mornin'. I was inspired by Ted Green's cool ve...

Re: Bobbe's Newsletter

My comment is from someone not at all connected to the steel community. My sporadic playing is for my amusement. What I read in the news letter had some humour involved. At first it appeared to be a paying gig but that wasn't communicated clearly. Later it was discovered to be a charity golfing even...

Re: 12 String Lap Steel ON A CLEAR DAY

Here's another example of my 12 string lapsteel on a jazzy arrangement. For years I had to work around all the cool chords (diminished, Aug5 etc) but now I love to tackle songs with these lovely intervals. http://snd.sc/zx7rCO I played all the other instruments as well. Dom :D Dom, That is fantasti...

I just sent some money to the fund. I figure Rob is trying to actually do something as opposed to talking about it. That is worth a little support in my book. Ditto. For less than a CD or set of strings you can make a difference. I like jazz and the idea of promoting it. Rob is top notch and Reso S...
