I much appreciate everyone's attempts to help me. I left a message for Darrell Stephens at 903-278-5832 yesterday and hope that number is still his and he returns my call.

Thanks, Jon. But please note my post just before yours. I have all the card layouts and schematics. Need the chassis-mounted parts schematics.

Thanks for sending, but I do have that schematic page you sent for the power supply card. As I mentioned, I need to find the schematic for or information that shows the AC line in along with the transformer and the pair of filter caps which are chassis mounted power supply components not found on th...

Trying to contact Derrell Stephens formerly of Evans

Grateful for the schematics of the various sections of the amp, but for some reason it does not include  the AC line path into the transformer part of the power supply that shows the pair of big blue Sprague 7200mfd@50v filter caps. That's what I needed it for to determine their polarity. Does anyon...

Evans FET 500 Custom LV schematic needed

I found an very old thread where member Bob Lawrence provided a schematic for the Evans FET 500 Custom LV amp. After not receiving a reply to my PM to him, I was sorry to find out he passed away earlier this year. Very sad. My condolences to his friends and family. Might anyone have a link to or a c...

Thanks again everyone. They are indeed those 'acoustic toggle bolts' used to hang panel ceiling frames. MSA just cut off the long bolt to make the shorty with the drilled flag that the rod hooks into. Cheap and efficient, much like the whole Pro Am SIDEKICK itself. You'd think they could have flippe...

I did, Jeffrey! I found size #6 x 1/4" od x 3/4" long aluminum spacers at Home Depot that work much better. Their internal diameter is closer to the rod diameter and there is more flat contact for the nylon nuts.

Thanks again top everyone for their suggestions. I ended up taking the changer completely apart, cleaned and lightly lubed it and starting setting it up from scratch. I don't know how the fingers got so far out of adjustment but once I got it back together, all the fingers lined up evenly and everyt...

Anyone know where to find this MSA part or substitute?

The pic shows the part off an MSA Pro Am SIDEKICK S10 that the rods attach to opposite the changer end. (Thumb pick is for scale.) That's one broken one and one intact one. Is there a generic hardware name for that threaded part with the flat tab on one end? Nothing like it at Home Depot that I can ...

Well, that makes more sense to me now out of what John mentioned. I see the 2 "tabs" the pedal feet would sit on. But no pin on the bracket....so I'm still not sure what I'm looking at in your pic. Maybe my pedal has missing parts. I'd think the swivel bearing on the pedal that the pin fit...

Thanks, John. But not sure what you mean. As seen in the pics earlier in the thread, my pedal has 2 height adjustment screws with feet. Is that what you mean by " but you definitely need the 2 "feet" that support the adjustment screws." ? It appears what is needed is a bracket wi...

Very grateful to everyone for their help! I'm doing my best to get it sorted out and will keep you all apprised.

PS - Donny, thanks for pointing it out, but that is actually not a crack in the wood, but just a milling/routing ridge in it.

No apology necessary, Jerry. Those mechanism diagrams were very educational for me. The SIDEKICK seems to be a single rivet raise and lower finger mechanism. The mechanisms look the same on all strings but some behave differently. I tried string-off, lube, exercise of the 2 pieces of the malfunction...

Thanks, Jerry - Can you (or anyone) tell me a source for info on how how I might make it lower both E's rather than the raise one/lower the other like it has now? I have a pedestrian knowledge of changers and can't tell how to adapt a finger/pivot to lower instead of raise. Does it required disassem...

Thanks, Jerry. Yes, I saw that manual for the regular SIDEKICK and the Pro Am is slightly different. But I've never seen a copedent with an 4th and 8th string E simultaneous raise and lower on the same knee lever. So I'm assuming it is a malfunctioning changer. I hope to hear more from someone here!

MSA Pro-Am SIDEKICK copedent question

I have an MSA Pro-Am SIDEKICK 3X1 and am selling it for a friend. Can anyone tell me if the one right knee lever is suppose to lower the two E's to Eb like I'm used to on my ShoBud? When I got it to make sure it was all working before I shipped it to the buyer, the A,B and C pedals worked fine with ...
