1930s Vega 7 or 8 string
Anyone with any experience with a late 30s Vega. My main question is how are they for tuning as they just have wheels at the end of the headstock. Do they stay in tune and are they easy to tune.

Spin split on a 705
Has anyone wired it to a pot, usually a 500 where at 0 it us single coil and full it is a humbucker. This gives a blend. I have it on a guitar but I am not sure the 795 leads are the same as the Seymore Duncans.

Inexpensive 8 string
I am looking for an inexpensive 8 string. Any opinion between a Morrell or a Vorson or something else. If I could find another used in the 400 - 500 range I would consider. I prefer a console type. I play country and some swing, rock and blues. Also not sure about scale length. I am mainly a guitar ...

Emmons PP Black 1973 S10
I am looking to sell my S10 3/4 PP. Prefer local sale (Boston area) but will consider shipping $1,500 plus shipping. Includes original case and an Emmons volume pedal. It does need some work. Please send direct emails so I can forward attachment summary on guitar. The PMs don't allow attachments. Th...

Vintage 15" SRO on Fender Super Reverb Baffle Board
This is a 15 inch speaker that was reconed with the standard replacement cone about 8 years ago and used very little since. I switched my Super Reverb back to the original 4X10 configuration.

Just Need Switchplate
I have found rubber pads for the legs and where to get a fretboard (is it really a fret board when there are no frets?).
I am still looking for the brushed alluminum switchplate. I have the pot, knob and swith just need the plate before I see about getting one made.

Amp
The amp is worth at least 2k up to 2500 if it is in as good condition as it looks. I have a 54 that is severely beat up (contact paper and replacement speaker) but sounds great for guitar and is worth about $1,600. Scotty Moore had that amp (53 or 54) when he originally played with Elvis. I wish I w...

I keep hearing the lyrics to 96 Tears when I look at it. I am tempted. My wife said one more guitar and she would leave me but she never said anything about a Farfisa Organ.

String Gage
It is an .024. I am not real happy with the overall quality of the instrument but what do I expect for $200. If it could do the C6 tuning I would be OK without going to some odd gages. .015,.018,.022,.024,.03,.036 This is a pretty standard gage size for a C6. They string it with some heavy E or D ty...

Buzzing on my Powerslide
I changed the string gage to a standard C6 set and now the 4th string buzzes so much it is useless. It came with heavier strings. I think ultimately I will replace both the bridge and nut with something solid to try and increase the sustain, if I keep it. I can return it for another couple days so I...

Powerslide in C6?
I bought a Powerslide and it was not in tune but I guess it was set up in open E or D. That is what I have played around with. I would like to know if anyone has tried C6.
I am not sure if it will work with that tuning and gages.
