Thanks for your reply, Brad. I will keep an eye on Ebay. Thanks as well for links to the Charlie Christian sites. I seem to remember seeing a posting somewhere on this site mentioning a source for the flying saucers, either NOS or modern reproductions...I'll keep looking!

volume/tone knobs for rickenbacher, supro/valco/national

Looking for flying saucer tone knob for a Rickenbacher bakelite, as well as what I think is a dakaware knob that is commonly seen on the valco/national guitars of the time. In this case I am looking for a circa 52 dynamic. Any help tracking one or both of these items would be very much appreciated. ...

guitar stand

Hi Tom.
I have a couple of the Hercules mini-stands that i like quite a bit, one of which I am using for my B6. They fold up small enough to tote around with you, which is handy. I can take a picture if you'd like.

Thank you for posting that link, David. Real nice playing by Mr. Ingano. I absolutely love the version on Chicken Skin Music, it was certainly one on of the reasons I decided to learn more about the instrument. As a relative newcomer to steel, would anyone be able to provide some tab or shed a bit m...

Thank you for posting that link, Andy. Nice to see all those players in a live context. Leisz's playing on that album (Blues Dream) is suberb. And a nice picture of an old National Dynamic in soft focus on the back cover to boot. I should also mention that I really appreciate your lap steel book. Gr...

I just wanted to update a bit, I managed to pick up some Deoxit-- that stuff should be called "miracle in a bottle"!! I used the spray on my crackly old Oahu, and she's now sounding beautifully clear. I still need to address that amphenol blob, but am feeling confident that you have led me...

Thanks for your replies, Rich and Bill. I found a couple local electronics suppliers that carry Caig Deoxit, so I will give that a shot. I opened up the guitar yesterday out of curiousity, pretty amazing how it all fits together, and not alot of room in there! I'll let you know how the stuff works. ...
