Yes, for sure...part of the Fender sound. The blend enables a mix of the front & back pick-ups. Others may reply with a more technical explanation, but for a true restoration, you should include the blend wheel.

From a Fretboard Journal interview (#11 Fall 2008):

"No, there was an MXR phase shifter. I had a very peculiar one, and I also had Dan Armstrong's Purple Peeker."

In reference to the Running On Empty solo.

[quote="Stephen Abruzzo"]For starters, Cooder's Strat doesn't sound like a Strat because.....he doesn't have Strat pups in it. He has a lap steel Valco pup in the bridge and a Teisco pup in the neck, which is an outstanding clear pup for slide work. This may be slightly off topic...here's ...

guitar in video

This looks to be the same guitar used during the Spain tour of 2006 which resulted in the Love is Strange CD. The liner notes from that release indicate the guitar is built by John McGrath. Thanks go to Paul for the post. Check out the clip Stay/Love Is Strange from that YouTube page for more Lindle...

Not to make all of you out~of~state folks jealous, but I'm looking forward to hearing this one in person at some point in the near future.

Mark, any chance you'll be drivin' this rig at Orton Park or the Gandy Dancer Festival?

Mitch, I s'pose these questions could be directed to the folks at Origin Jazz, but I'll take a chance here and offer my opinion. This appears to be an overview of Bob Dunn the steel guitarist, not the bandleader. According to the website info, the tracks are mastered from original 78's...perhaps tho...

Naah..."No Country For Old Men" next to it is the one to go for...just read it last week, and as much as I like the Coen brothers, wish I hadn't seen the film beforehand. Going through a Cormac McCarthy phase, also read "The Road" and just started his first "The Orchard Keep...

As others have said, a good program worth catching.
