No! Not my hero. My father-in-law on Monday and now Buddy. Rest in Peace, Buddy. You were a great inspiration to a lot of people including this little ol' country boy. I am eternally grateful for all the hours I have spent listening to you play, and will never forget the times I seen you at the Scot...

I have known Jerry for years as we were both local pickers in the Akron area. There is no denying that Jerry always was a monster picker with tremendous talent and an all around good guy. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and wish to send my deepest sympathies to his family and friends. RIP my fr...

Ray Adkins
My deepest sympathies to the Adkins family. I can remember when Ray and Uncle Jay would set up their steels facing eachother in Uncle Jay's basememnt and sit for hours trading rifs. This was long before I ever started playing it myself. Ray will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowi...

Ohio Steel Players
I am currently living in the Akron area. I started out on a Sho-bud, then a Marlin, and from there I went to Kline and continue to play on the Kline. Freddie Little is a good friend of mine and is currently playing in the Akron area. He is one of my favorite steel players. Plays so smooth. He is sti...

Kline for sale
I have the first Kline steel ever sold and I love it. I would never part with it. I'd get rid of the wife first! The serial number is Joe and Opal's address at the time. I believe I bought it back in 1975, and it is black just like this one here. My wife found a Kline on the internet a few years ago...

What got you started
My uncle, Jay Stuman, played steel and he is the one that influanced me into taking it up. I started out on guitar and Uncle Jay said that guitar players were a dime a dozen and steel players were more in demand at this time. To tell the truth, I don't think he thought I was doing all that good on t...

Most Comical thing seem while playing
A few years back I was playing at a local club in the Akron area. It was just a week or so before Christmas and the place was packed. We had just finished our first set and left the stage. I saw the lead player and bass player stop and point to omething on the floor. They were laughing as they appro...

Akron Ohio, Steel Fest
Just a few days until the Steel Fest and I am as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs! I have never done anything like this before. I hope to see a lot of steelers, pickers, and old friends, but most importantly I hope to have fun. See you all on Sunday.
