Music Examples For Reece Anderson's Missing Link Course

I just bought it tonight for $100, so I won't find out for another week or so. I'll do a follow up post once I get ahold of her.

Thanks for the reply, by the way!

Help identifying steel

I was hoping someone could shed some light on this little guy I found on ebay.

I've been wanting an 8-string and this one had a nice price, so I bought it. Any insight would be appreciated!

the neck farthest from me is the E9 neck the one closest to me is C6th neck. The back neck refers to the neck closest to you. The front of the guitar is considered to be the side with the logo that the audience sees. Your manual is probably using "top" and "bottom" in the same s...

They sound phenomenal on the old Fender 1000 and 400 pedal steels. I don't see why there would be a problem using them for non-pedal steel.

b0b made a nice recording on both necks of his Fender 1000 here:

I think innate talent is a very small factor in becoming a good improvisor. Talent is at best 10% of what made Charlie Parker, B.B. King and Buddy Emmons great at improvising. It was hard work and thousands of hours of practice that got them there. If any of us put in the time those guys did constan...

Is it generally because people prefer the sound of the plain strings or is it mostly for mechanical reasons?

You're probably going to want to raise your 6th string G# along with your 3rd string G# on pedal 5. Also, b0b has a great 8 string C6 copedent here (the bottom tuning): http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix0912/7711_b0bF1000_1.jpg I have that C6 setup on my Fender 1000 and I've found the F on the b...

The person who wrote out the chords made a mistake. It should be just B minor, or the vi chord in whatever key you're in.

I think Bill and Adam are just are referring to the front neck in a different way than you are, David. Mooney plays E9 on the neck closest to him, which is the front neck to him, I suppose, but the rear neck to the audience. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1vdpqdFRqc&feature=related http://www.y...
