I always thought this design would make a great lap steel. I almost called them last year to ask if they would ever consider making a lap version... that would be veeeery cool!!

I've been using two Ernie Ball VP's quite happily for about 5 or 6 years and I never noticed that litte taper switch ...thanks for bringing that to my attention Mark! That being said, the setting that I got them with seems to be perfect...but it is good to have options.

Totally trippy! Dennis, I'm diggin' those quite a bit. If I ever get around to making my own lap steel, I'll definitely give you a ring. I think it would be cool to do the whole top of a guitar or uke with this stuff...very trippy indeed!

I've been using the same model for a while now. Compact enough to fit in the gig bag accessories pocket with room to spare...and they are very stable...oh, and cheap too!!
