When I was a jazz composition major at Berklee, they taught us to always write the chord name in its simplest form. We would never write 9's, 13's, etc. It was always a 7th, Maj7, min7, etc., unless the tensions didn't fit in with the normal chord structure. It is up to the player to add the tension...

Haha, awesome! I love dad jokes, and now that my kids are older it's fun to get the "ugh"! I was just saying to my son: What did the vampires travel around in on Halloween? A blood vessel.

I second Donny's advice, and I would also definitely get the manual Dave linked to. It can be frustrating at first, but they're not difficult to work on once you get to know them.

I just sold mine the other day. It was actually a killer amp, and I used it a lot, but I'm trying to thin the herd. I like my Fox Vintage HPTT a little bit more, but that twin was the second-best sounding amp I've ever had. I'd definitely say it's worth getting fixed.

how to play in minor

This is basic to advanced, so if you already know basic theory, it gets a lot more in depth later on. I hope it helps some of y'all! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-9XxPYjtIQ

Those are great links, Tim. I love playing in minor keys, and C6 or A6 are easy to play single-note solos in minor, but I'll make a video about my favorite tuning for minor chords, B11. It fits right in with what both those articles are talking about.

Thanks David! My wife and I had been collecting all that tiki stuff for years, but it was just scattered around the house. We finally realized we had enough to decorate our living room, so it's pretty fun to "escape" to our own living room!

Thanks, Mike! You're right, it's tricky and makes it harder to concentrate on the steel. My mom is an organist, and I talked to her about it. I realized I could never do what organists do for multiple reasons, so I kind of came up with my own, albeit limited, approach. I've gotten to where I really ...
