Hi Guys - Hello Bob Thanks for your input, much appreciated. But Bob you have not thought about that first train wrec photo! Is there a reason for the train wreck? Well Yes there is. The customer wanted a very original and way out copedant and the ability to change it readily. As you know, getting t...

;-) Hi Guys! Yes Edward, I make the parts myself, I have a small workshop and tools to do it. In this case each change was tackled individually as I really did not know where it was going to lead. I tried to make it look as if they had come from ZB's factory. My thinking and effort, but , sort of th...

:D Hi There! Many thanks for the replies you guy's, Edward and Eric :) Thanks for the nice things said. Yes, feedback is nice; nice or critical.I tried , as in the past, to come up with something that Zane Beck or Tom Brumley would have designed, if they had carried on with the development. We all k...

Eliminating the bent rods and out of line pulls.

:( With over 450 of you out in steel guitar land Viewing this post I am surprised that nobody has written any comments. Has anybody tackled the problem and if so, in which way? I can't be alone in trying to do it! With more ZB's in Nashville than the whole UK! Best regards to all out there! David Wi...

ZB knee lever Straight Pull Conundrum.

The ZB design does not allow the left and right going pulls a line of sight to the changer, so the rods have to bend around adjacent cross shafts to get to the changer. Every one of these guitars is the same. Over the years I have tried to scheme a way of tidying this up, not easy, I guess it goes b...

Magnum Changer

Hi John,You might have something there. I figured that appart from it being weak in design, Maybe something stopped the alloy finger from rotating on the shaft, no oil,or a foreign body between the alloy finger and the plate, not a lot of room there! Don,all the rivets were tight and the bending hap...

Thanks Jim, you being Stateside and many more of these sold near to you, then I would have expected some of you to have seen it before. Perhaps my customer is a soccer player, you know, very heavy feet.I will wait to see if they start to come in for attention. Most all guitars are in their mid thirt...

Magnum Changer

Hi everybody ! Thanks Rick for that. I keep saying I need a nanny, I'm now offering £20 a week, perhaps you'll take the job :) Henry, that was No6 string G# on the B pedal, but all the fingers, except No1, had a slight curve just by the notch at the rivet. The notch is what engineers would call a st...

Magnum Changer fingers?
Just had a Magnum Pro Select in for repair with bent changer fingers, my first with this problem. Nice guitar; is this a one off problem, or have any of you out there in PSGland encountered this problem?

Hi Y'all ! Many thanks for the mention Spencer, I am so pleased that you are pleased, it's what I'm here for. And thanks to all you guys, for the nice things said. In my humble opinion, the parts should like retro-fit. It's not cheating, but when you are at a gig and the lead guitarist comes over, a...

Hi All, To me,the comment about pulling the back out of the guitar, is a bit of an over statment! I think that the writer is on about play in say a lower screw, even if you are not lowering that string. This will allow the finger, when moving to raise the string tone, to move in an arc. The lower is...
