I'm focusing on lap steel, dobro, and guitar.

I also have a Tonic and a Furlong split.

A TC Furlong cab with the space for a Sarno preamp would indeed be a great if not cheap choice.

Bill- I think you will find that it is only illegal if you do not exceed the 2 to 1 ratio of instruments to amps. It was one of these that got me hooked on bending. I soon came to the realization if one bendable string was good, wouldn't a bunch be better? Hence my steel journey began.

Don't forget the Furlong split with a Sarno pre amp. I am not worthy, and won't be for a while.

Danechos have a tone control for the repeats to emulate analog and tape echos. You might like it.

Another vote for Tannoy Reveals. They sound way better now that I'm powering them with a Dynaco ST-70 tube amp.

I'm a fan of Carvin products in general, but the PA speakers I've had have blown. Don't know about the guitar speakers they make.

I found the Eclipse speaker in my Evans to have an annoying harshness in the upper mids. A 1501 with a Neo magnet was a lot warmer. I happen to have one in the for sale section. The new Sicas seem to be very popular. Unless you really like your Eclipse I'd just buy one of the lighter speakers.
