Joe, for simple I use a Fender 25R. It has a headphone jack and CD red/white input on the front. CD volume is controlled by the player. Can be played out loud or silent thru headphones. It"s 25 watts RMS and pulls 75 watts out of the wall.(cheap to run for hours)They were $90 new and you can fi...

Practice amps/Power?

Lots of discussion about what amp to use for practice...not seen any talk about power. Not output power but how much power is pulled out of the wall. Most spend many hours practicing and electricity is not getting any cheaper. How much power an amp draws is worth consideration. For instance, I use a...

deluxe up grade

Thanks for the response guys...just what I was looking for. I have upgraded the speaker to tt12, big change. I have a thread from an older post that says this change is good for a drri and easy to reverse. States that the ri can take the voltage upgrade without damage and that better response in bas...

What's important is the comfort ability to use your knee levers in conjunction with AB pedals. If you have AB too far to the left(assuming Emmons set up) you can have trouble using all pedal/knee lever combinations.MD

eminence tt speaker

My question is I've only seen this speaker listed as 8ohms...doesn't a nv112 take a 4ohm speaker? Mike Brown told me I would be cutting power putting an 8ohm in place of a 4ohm in my nv112. Does it come in a 4ohm model and I've overlooked it?MD

My fessy came with a 710. I had to insist Jerry put it in there, he recommended a 705. I played it 'bout year then switched to the 705...it's perfect. Jerry was right. Who would've guessed. My nv112 gets the shift straight up(650) to 800 depending on the room. Bass about 3 o'clock, mids 10 or 11, tr...

Also check the roller nut on the tuner end. If these are not free it can cause a string not to return. Lubrication is required here also.MD

Rkr

When playing strings 5&8...lowering 8 gives you the same voicing as 5&8 with A pedal and F lever(raising E's) only 2 frets higher, so you don't have to have the raise on E's to get it. When you do have both changes , usually you do the raise E positions going up and lower E positions going d...

Rkr

It's easier in some respects to go rkr than rkl. Lowering 2 a half gives you complete scale notes with AB pedals down(very important). Just lowering 8 is your scale moves on string 5&8 up the neck. I wouldn't change a thing on this guitar. Lloyd Green never lowered string 4(used string 2) and he...

what amp

I know this is confusing, so I'll put my confusing 2 cents worth in. I use different amps for diff' situations. Practice, Fender 25R with a speaker upgrade. With and without headphones and it is capable of playing a CD player with it both ways. It is 25 watts power, more than enough for my practice ...
