i agree, playing with others is probably the fastest way to get better.

I'll add another big 'Thanks!' to the pile... Those videos have really helped me out a lot. And they're especially easy to follow as a lefty, since it's like following a mirror image.

my goodrich is older, sounds fine, but has some snags in the action. not something i really notice when i'm in a band situation, but at home it is distracting.

i have a 1x15 combo cab i put my bandmaster in, as well as a 2x12 piggy back cab and both are super nice and are really reasonably priced.

oh yeah.... i just cut up some towels to place in the case to pad all the wiggle room. the case seems pretty sturdy but i think i'm going to put some 'this side up' stencils on it for the TSA goons.

i suppose this should be an endorsement for pedalmaster... on my chicago layover today, i was way in the back of the plane and my steel was the 3rd piece of luggage to come out on the conveyer belt... they stopped the belt and all 3 guys looked at it and one dude just heaved it onto the luggage cart...

i'm taking a weeknight redeye w/ no layovers from new york to birmingham, so i'm hoping the flight is underbooked and i can just gate check it.

my goodrich has developed some kind of snag right in the sweet spot between 1/2 and 1/2 volume that i'm usually trying to stay in... does anyone have advice on how to smooth this out? can i use some kind of lubricant?

any advice on flying w/ pedal steel? should i gate check it or will it be fine so long as its in a good case?
