I bought an OMI dobro in excellent condition as a backup. It looks like it has barely been out of the case in the last 30 years. The case looks brand new. It hasn't been altered in any way. Was wondering if you're the gentleman who had posted several months ago about restoring your National. I am getting ready to do the same and would love to pick your brain on the process. Hoping to find period correct: switches caps tuning gears etc.. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. ...

It's been a great steel. I have used it now for about 7 years. Unfortunately, some of the tuning gears are shot, and the switches work only sometimes. Thought I would try to find the gentleman who completely went through his and get some "lessons learned" training. lol.... They are certain...

Several months ago, there was a gentleman who was rebuilding his D8 console and had pics and the process he went through. I just finished refoaming some roadcases and have some extra case foam left over. This is the high quality gray foam. There are two pieces: 1 inch thick -- 54" X 72" sell for $50 2 inch thick -- 54" X 72" sell for $80 or both for $120 Would prefer to sell locally (Nashville area)...

These steels are made in Japan. Excellent workmanship and are sold through Scottys in St Louis area.
Russ Weaver set this up Emmons style.
