hi everyone
I am still new at non pedal steel.
I have been trying to tune to open c tuning and cannot get it to sound right.
I am only able to buy regular guitar strings locally.
Is ther a difference also is a chromatic tuner better than a regular tuner?

c tuning lap steel.
hi everyone;
I am still new at this trying to change tuning to open c tuning.
I can get it partially but does not sound right.
I am using a standard guitar tuner.
Should i use a chromatic tuner as i can not get the
open c note on my tuner.
Thanks
Leo
