Fulawka Single-Coils…

Anyone have experience using single coil pickups in a Fulawka?
The playability of my Fulawka is second to none, but I miss that single coil sound of my old Buds. I wonder if some Sho Bud PUs might do the trick. Anything I need to consider?

Thoughts?

Goodrich Low Profile String Routing

Hey all,

Can anybody direct me to pics/video of the correct string routing for the Goodrich L120 pedal? The string slid off and I can't seem to figure the correct way to get it on.

Cheers,

NV 1000 squeal!

Help! Weird squeal from my 1000 that starts quiet and gets louder. Even audible with pre and master gain at zero. High pitch and only stops if I turn off the amp. Power issue?
Any thoughts would help!

Definitely like the TC Hall of Fame.

I found it sounds less like a pedal, and more like your amp placed into the setting you've chosen.

Thanks for you time, lads. It's given me some reassurance that I'm not crazy! Mike Brown, my gut feeling says this is the answer; I'm just hesitant when I play outdoor stages. I do use George L cables, they haven't given me any issue, and I've never experienced this problem indoors. Maybe just conic...

Amp Sound disappears...

Wondering if you could help me with a problem I've been having. I was playing an outdoor festival and during sound check my Peavey NV1000 would intermittently go completely silent while I played, for 3-5 seconds at a time. No crackles, no pops, just dead silence and then back in. My power light woul...

Nashville 1000 Knobs

Hey all,

I'm renovating my NV1000, and over the years a few knobs have snapped off, some just the plastic, and some the shaft of the pot.

Anybody holding, or have any idea where I could buy some?
(and a knob guard, too, I suppose).

Supro 1624T Reissue...

Hey all,

Anybody using the Supro 1624T reissue for lap/console/pedal steel?

Any thoughts?

I've been offered a trade for a Late-model fender Twin I have and I'd like some intel before I decide...

cheers,

Thanks all! I loosened everything up until the levers change nothing.

I re-tuned the second string at the keyhead then slowly screwed the hexes back in.

It works, but at times I feel I just *slightly* can't get the lower low enough.

Cheers.

Hey Bob,

I have a Fulawka, I've done this before, too. I think I have it back to almost normal, but I can't get the lower down to a full pitch without starting to overtune the string

I do have a 1/2 raise as well...

any thoughts, good sir?

Overtuning...help!

Hey all,

I've gone and done it now.

Can anybody help me rectify my overtuning problem on my RKR lower 1/2 and -1.

I can't seem to get them in sync without returning the Eb 2nd string to a higher pitch!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Recording Mic for steel...

Hi All, Just starting to get into home recording, and I'd like to slowly piece together a nice chain. I play a Fulawka D10 through a Goodrich and Session 400. But after that it's anybody's guess. Currently I go direct from the amp to my Focusrite Scarlett unit, to a macbook. I know I can do much bet...

Thanks all! I used the phone mic, and while less fussy, it seems like maybe it's a cord problem...I am using the white Peterson Factory cord I bought separately. Maybe it has just been bent in my carry all too many times. Jack, that's interesting...I think I may go back to the old Ear tuning. So har...

Peterson iStrobo tuner app...

Hello All, I'm having trouble with my Peterson iStrobo tuner app for the iphone. Lately the display seems to go haywire when I try to tune, as though it's getting a ton of noise distraction. I've tried everything, rebooting it, ensuring I'm picking only one string, etc. but even sitting at rest it p...

Thanks for your continued great advice, fellas!!!! I've got a connector on order and Andy Volk's gauge guide is soon on the way. Took a little help from my friends, but I should be playing wrong notes in no time!
