Thanks James! That is exactly what i hear in my guitar. It's very bright so I'd like to try and mellow it out a bit. If the XR16's beef up the mids and lows a little, that may be the way to go.

What pick-up do you have in your Williams?

I've been thinking of trying another pickup in my guitar. Right now I have a Trutone (in a Uni 12 Williams).

So the question is, what pickup do you have? Also, are Williams considered a Wide mount pickup type?

Thanks for your help.

Great axe!

Before I bought my Wiliams I had a GFI. Those guitars are smooth as glass!

Red Gold Beauty reminds me that I have to come up with a nickname for my guitar....hmm....

I went to school for guitar making and probably the only thing I heard about the type of wood is that it is quarter sawn rather than slab cut lumber. I even sam Bob Taylors "pallet" guitar which was made out of a pallet from his warehouse (so pretty much cheap pine). He's really all about ...

I'm very much a less-is-more, passive electronics, tube kind of guy. I'm right there with you Jim! 8) I started with a Ernie Ball pedal, but I was given an older Goodrich 120 and I gotta say I prefer this pedal. The throw feels a little better and may serve you well while playing six string. I've a...

Thanks guys! I really did want to try something a little different as far as the looks of the guitar, hence the white mica. I always liked those white MSA guitars!!

Howard, I think the three pedals look black because of the way the light is hitting the guitar. They're all polished! :D

Thanks guys, I'm really enjoying it already. Larry - you're right, it is a universal (which I'm still trying to get some more of the B6th stuff going). I'm not a sax player, my wife is. The great thing is she bought a really nice pro level sax so I was "allowed" to ge the willy! She even p...

I'd say right round 30 lbs which is great considering my GFI S10 Ultra was around 25 - 28lbs. I'm basically speechless about Williams, Bill is making some amazing stuff!

Are you thinking about getting one Terry?

b0b,

you know, after all the helpful responses, a smaller bar does make total sense. Not that I'm a fast player, but the standard bar size does feel comfortable, so why mess with it? Different strokes for different folks I guess! :D

thanks for all the input guys! I think I'll stick to a 10 string bar, seems logical from what I've read plus I'm already comfortable with it!

Olli - I'll try the Cobra Coil bar, thanks. By the way, love your Williams guitar!

12 string players, what bar size do you use?

I've been using the bar that I had while playing a 10 string, but I was wondering if I should be using a longer bar....what do you suggest? Thinking about order a Cobra Coil bar too, anyone use one?
