Hi Dave The Emmons volume pedal hooks onto the pedal bar rack, you can just about see the pin sticking up, the drop pin model is very different, a pin drops through the top of the pedal rack and locates the volume pedal, see picture showing both types of pedal with the drop pin on top of the pedal ...

You have a great guitar there, hang on to it I don't think you will find anthing much better, I have an MCI & EMCI both great guitars and for all the myths and discussions, welded frame, wooden apron I can't tell any difference, they both sound and play great
