fessenden

I am a relative newcomer to the steel guitar forum, and I have been recently watching for a Fessenden steel like the one described. What is confusing me is that it seems hard to tell if the described instrument ever sells or not. Has this instrument been sold? (Or does it sell or trade only when the...

Course

I listened to the track on the website you suggested. It does not appear (to me) to have alot of pedal work? Would this course help me with a non pedal C6th tuning? (In learning the blues scale). I am just starting my steel guitar voyage, and picked C6th, as I am interested in Country Swing, Classic...

Texas Playboy Rag

Thanks Greg - I now have KC Blues/Texas Playboy Rag/ and No Teardrops Tonight on CD and play along with the rhythm tracks all the time. This has really helped my playing and knowledge of the C6th neck. You really should consider doing a few more songs like this and then publishing some sort of instr...

Thanks Greg for your lap steel posts - I have enjoyed them all. Especially like No Teardrops Tonight and KC Blues. I play along with the rhythm tracks all the time. Great learning/improvisation tool.

Fender Double 6

I am interested in finding a Fender Double 6. I have been watching ebay for several months, but nothing has come up.

Does anyone know anything about those Galveston double neck steels that are on there all the time for around $150?

C6th tab

I am new to this, (this is my first post) Did you ever get tabs for the C6th neck? I am just learning and have not found the major scale tabbed anywhere in a book - not Scotty's Dewitt's or anywhere else- (The Doug Jernigan book?) You had two posts - but the address to get the book is not there? (or...
