Now you got me thinking. I had enough alder to build two so I have a body started but without any pickup routing. I think a bigsby style would be cool. Curly maple tops and bigsby style pickups would be sweet. Can't wait to see your GS-2. Keep me updated.

I made some 8 string covers by cutting up 6 string covers and super gluing thing them. I made blank tops from an old parts tray. This lapsteel was posted on another forum by a guy who bought it from someone who thought it was a fender. It looks like a cross between a Gibson Skylark and a Epiphone Electar to me. Those plates look great. I'm doing something similar in aluminum for a couple guit-steels I'm making. My only problem is the bridge mounting tabs but I think I have that worked out.
