my second string is a plain steel guage 020 and the tuning is GBDGAD low to high. I pull the string behind the bar up one note with the ringfinger of my left hand. Most people think using a thinner string makes the pulls easier because the string preassure is softer. But I found out that for getting...

This is a guitar that I have built at a "Weissenborn Construction Workshop". It is made of african padauk wood and it has a schellack finish. I made it with a tailpiece witch is unusual for Weissenborn guitars but I like it that way. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1205/6888_PICT0050...

I have not uploaded a video for a long time because lately I was so busy making straps and capos.

But this old Procol Harum song I had to give a try how it turns out on a reso.

Back in the early 80´s I started experimenting with designing and making a custom capo that would perfectly suite my needs and live up to all my demanding expectations. Since then a lot of time and energy has gone into creating what I believe to be the perfect tool. However, to insure the best resul...

caop

Hi Frank, unlike the standard Free-Swinging Capos, my Capo rests securely on the neck, just like the nut. Which means absolutely no capo movement while playing, a major consideration for meaty pulls and hammer-ons. Another advantage is that all the String Vibration is directed entirely into the neck...

Woods on Fire........check this handsome Mr.Big Band

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNT44BNIGXg It was on a rainy day when I decided to let the four dudes and the pretty girl standing on my doorstep in. Three of the dudes could handle an instrument. The skinny one was a good dancer, as was the pretty girl. All in all a lot of people, nearly a big band...

My Window Faces The South

I always wanted to have a original Dobro made by the Dopera´s. After looking around for a long time I found this old dobro model 37 at R & F Charle´s guitar shop web site. The problem was that this guitar shop is located in Paris. So I asked my friend Pierre Bastide who lives in Paris to check t...

Thanks folks for your nice comments. I have my guitar tuned in open G tuning. GBDGBD from low to high. Sometimes when I want to get that pedal steel sound I tune to G9 GBDGAD and do string pulls mostly on the second string.
