Tab for easy tune that shows how the knee levers work

I've been playing for awhile and I admit that I've been faking it using just AB pedals almost all of the time and I want to get into using more of the levers etc...(I've got ABC and 5 knee set up in standard Emmons config) Looking for a tune that sort of would be a good one to learn that demonstrate...

I would think as long as the polarity of the power supply was correct for the HOF, it should work fine. The circuit is only going to pull what it needs. I used a single "One Spot" @ 1700ma to run 3 boxes. Again, if the polarity is correct, I think it'll be fine. I found a total of three a...

Picked up a HOF today since the closest store to my house happened to have one in stock....very happy with it and I'm sure it will suffice me for all my reverb needs!...question...is the battery still drained by having the leads plugged in, or only when the pilot light is lit as in on position?...I ...

Best Reverb and/or delay unit?

Hi, I've just got back into steelin' after a long absence and I'm not ever going to be a pro or out gigging much so I'm using what I happen to have on hand for an amp...it's Traynor keyboard amp and hence, it doesn't have any built in reverb or FX so I'm looking for the latest/greatest outboard box....

You can't compare Bruce Kaphan to Garcia

If you think Bruce Kaphan can't really play the steel and try to compare him to non-standard country styled players like Garcia....just have a listen to this....and then tell me he hasn't got any chops!

I actually supply the name of the steel player for the piece of music around which the thread was started, and eight posts later, zero mention of this individual, though some did enjoy the playing itself. Apparently the musician himself is of no interest, and the thread receives replies about the s...

lessons without tab available?

I just downloaded a whole DVD of dobro lessons where they teach by video of slowly playing phrases and playing along with a guitar player...all without any tablature (works best for the way I learn)....unfortunately the company only deals with acoustic instruments so don't have nor plan on having an...

So what I'm getting here is that tubes have a sweeter sound as long as they're not overdriven but the transistor amps will blast it out there cleaner if one is in a high volume situation?

tubes vs. solid state

I know....the same old can of worms... but... I've recently returned to pedal steel and am enthralled by all the new tech changes from 30 yrs. ago... I remember Jeff Newman telling us in '82 how you need a transistor amp for steel since steels have so much natural harmonic distortions happening with...

so many gauge setups

Wow...I'm not even sure what gauges are on there now and the previous owner doesn't know either so I bought a micrometer and will measure (I'm so lazy that I don't want to re-tune everything for new strings) so I can order the same gauges...
