Hey Ken, I have had my Expo for a couple of months now and love it! It is my first PSG so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but it plays and sounds great to me. I had the choice between black, blue and red. I bought black because I hear it sounds better. :D Here are a few pics of mine. http://bb....

I have been playing about 2 months now. Being a drummer, the pedals and knee levers haven't been much of a problem for me. I find that the finger blocking is a little easer than palm blocking, but I am still pretty bad at both. :) I also need to get used to moving the bar around up and down the stri...

What amp to buy?
Hey all, I just started playing the steel guitar and now need to buy my first amp. I'm looking for something that will be good to start on and maybe eventually play out at an open mic night or something. I know the Nashville 112 is a very popular amp, but new its a little more than I can spend right...

Thanks everyone for your help again. I bought the Sierra from Bobby. I figured that it would be a long while before I get to go and actually look at anything in person. I guess I got a little impatient but I feel like I can trust Bobby and that he will stand behind the things that he sells. I also b...

Thanks again everyone for your input! I am looking at a standard late model Sierra that Bobby Seymour's has for sale. I just have to figure out if I want to spend the money on it or not. I think it will be around $1450.00 shipped, +tax. I don't really know much about Sierra. The salesman on the phon...

Hey thanks again everyone. I think I am going up to Chubby Howard's show this Sunday to hang out and try to learn a few things. Hopefully I will get to meet some of you all! I will hopefully have a good idea of what I want to buy after this upcoming weekend as well. The books, dvds and cds will be a...

I mostly listen to and play country music. I like the older classic country as well as some of the newer stuff. Bluegrass is pretty new to me right now, but I really like it so far. As far as a budget, I was thinking to spend around $1000-$1200 bucks or so. I would like to try to find a used steel a...
