I just got my first lap steel delivered. it is a Ouhu tonemaster. How do I decide what strings and what tuning to use to learn?

I am a drummer in the NW boston area who is also a newbie to the PSG. I would be interested in joining a CW band to get some exp. and to learn the standard CW tunes. I have been drumming for 30+ years in punk and blues stuff. So if you need a drumer let me know.

Yea, that was my thought after I already had this one. It would be fun to play around with the set-up on this one.
