Peavey Powerslide
:whoa: Ugly! I love it! That thing's so far outside the box that it's in my box! But I must admit I'll believe that $199.99 price when I see it in my hands with that price tag on it. Even the Chineese have to make a profit! The special case will probably cost $300. >:-) Oh yea, forgot to mention, if...

Thanks!
Tom and Gary thanks for the replies. Gary I've never seen your guitars but I've looked at Tom's many times and they are beautiful works of art! If I can take my time and get the neck right I should be able to get one that feels good to me. I've a buddy who has a wood shop and has built a few ...

Question about a lap steel neck
:) Howdy! Starting in the spring I'd like to build a nice lap steel for myself. I have no plans on building more than one but I want it to be really unique. I don't anticipate too much trouble with the body, bridge and electronics but I'd like to ask for advice about the neck. I'd like it to be a 6 ...

nice...
DaShawn Hickman sure plays the sweet gospel blues steel with the touch of someone really feeling the music. I wonder if he gets the tone by rocking the wah back half way and then using the volume pedal. Sounds like he rolls off the highs to stay round also!?
Thanks for the post b0b.

Wow, I came back from work today and I was happy to see so many of you replied so quickly to my post! Thanks James C., good to hear another newer players opinion. I've played stratocaster since '66 and I always used a hard pick until about 3 years ago when I decided to use my fingers. (I quit playin...

:D First I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope that it will be a safe and prosperous year for you and your families! :-D I was wondering if any of you would be willing to post a good picture of how finger picks should look when installed on the fingers correctly? You know, how they shou...

Hello from a new poster!
:D Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season! This is my second post I believe. My first was to ask a question about a buying a Carter starter. I ended up getting my first steel and I opted for the Stage One. My sweet little wifey just got me Jeff Newman's "Up fro...

Hello Cliff, I'm new to the forum and I just saw your ad. I was wondering what would be included with this steel. Is there a case or a volume pedal? Does she stay in tune well? I'm real new to this type of guitar and have a lot to learn but a friend said it looks like a good deal especially if it in...
