Yeah, i was talking to Bill yesterday about his 335 and it does sound like he has a real nice one there but, like bill said, the sound that I'm looking for is sound of the big '30s, 40s, and '50s solid spruce top archtops. The one's that I would really be interested in are the Gibson L-7, L-10, and ...

Hi Bill,

Did'nt get it. Try sending an email to:

stlpikn (at) comcast.net

I had'nt realized until now that this new format does'nt give us the email option like the old SGF did. :( Sometimes I don't think progress is all it's cracked up to be. Oh well. :?

Hi Jim, Yes, you can ad a BIN or change the listing anyway you would like until there are bids. Just go to the edit listing link on your ad and make the changes. Even after there are bids you can make some changes but, in some cases you must notify the bidders. There is a good explanation of all of ...

1930 National Tricone #1-Xlnt! Sell/Trade

This is a 1930 National Tricone Style 1, Serial #2324. The guitar is all original and is in excellent condition. I would rate this one a 9+ on a 10 scale. The plating is all original and looks almost new with no sign of corosion and only a couple of very small dings on the top which are not even not...

Hi Phil, Thanks for the interest. I'm not really all that particular on the vintage but, you are right, the Guilds are great guitars. http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif I already have a Guild X-500 that I really like and another Guild is'nt really what I'm looking for right now. Also, I do have a...

Hi Jim,

Sorry, I can't answer that, I'm totally uneducated as to which is what on anything electronic. All I know about pedals, amps, etc. is when I hook it up, if it works and it sounds good, it is.

Maybe somebody that has this model can chime in and give us an answer.

Yeah Jack, I am running a Dell with XP and that is exactly the problems I was coming up against. I'm not so much interested in high quality sound, I just wanted to be able to pull some audio tracks from DVD and convert them to CD in order to use them with my ASD (slow-downer) program. I downloaded t...

Hi Darryl, No, this one has a picture of Travis, and his Martin with the Bigsby neck, singing into a CBS mic. The picture was probably taken during one of the radio or television broadcasts. If you like Travis this is a great DVD with quite a few good shots of Speedy as a nice bonus. If you Google t...

Speedy West

Just thought some of you Speedy West fans might be interested in this.

I just got the Vestapol DVD-13012 of 'Merle Travis Rare Performances 1946-1981' which has some great footage on several of the early tracks of very young Speedy West playing what looks like his Bigsby steel.
