John,
You are absolutely right! It does all depend on the interested party. A steel doesn't need to be in dead mint condition to be a satisfying players instrument. Modified guitars are just more of an unknown territory.

Ray, I'm not familiar with the LA-400, but it might be just what I'm looking for, especially with that much power and a 12" speaker. Thanks for the tip.
