Re: Drum machine recommendations

The Beat Buddy is interesting. I watched the Sweetwater demo. Am I missing something. Wouldn't you need three feet to operate it since both your feet are already tied up playing steel? Yeah three feet would help, but like most stomp boxes I operate it with my hand. Hit the button on the BeatBuddy p...

I use the BeatBuddy which works for me. You can check it out on youtube. Not saying it's better than the SR-16 (which I have owned) it's just an option to check out.

I use the RP155 mainly for the reverbs and delays. I like the sounds I get from it. If you use the software and make some presets, all is good. The down side it is somewhat difficult to modify on the fly.

Thanks Lane. Makes you wonder if they made it bigger for ease of getting the 15" speaker in it or if they thought the bigger cabinet made the 15" sound better.

Other than speaker configuration are there any differences between the 65 custom reissue and the standard 65 two twelve inch reissue?

I'm assuming you installed X-edit 2.4.1 from this page: http://www.digitech.com/en-US/products/rp250

Also when you install the software, from memory the rp250 has to be connected via usb port. If you are having trouble with the drivers you can get them from the same page.

Ken is right on about the knob colors. I have one I bought new and it looks as Ken describes. I also used one in the eighties with a telecaster and a compressor and loved it for guitar. I bought a Nashville 112 when I first started playing steel because I thought I needed a "steel" amp. Pe...

I've got an ole 130 that I played a telecaster through with a compressor in front of for a long time. Loved it for guitar. I started playing steel so I figured I needed a steel amp and bought a 112. Turns out I like the 130 for steel better than the 112.

I can email you the manual for the Rp155 if that would help. To me the easiest way to set one up is to use the "X-edit" software available at the Digitech website. A simple way to get started is just to download some presets put together by forum members here. Check out this thread: http:/...

One option is a Digitech Rp155. They have Lexicon reverbs, analog and tape delay modes and lots of stuff to play with. They do have a learning curve but members on the forum have presets to share.

Here's a picture of a cabinet I built with a 15" SICA in it. I pretty much copied the cabinet Steve English built (thanks Steve for the ideas). Fun project and I really like the eq of the MB200.

I bought one of these when they first came out, still have it, it's the natural finish body and is very heavy. It's a cool guitar, you can get anywhere from a strat sound to a les paul, the roll in pickups cover a lot of territory.

Dick, Thanks for the files. I've got an RP155. There may be an easier way but to use the 150 presets (files) on a 155, I changed the file extention from .rp150 to .rp155 then opened the files with notepad and changed the first and last line in the file from 150 to 155. I think these RP's are great l...

Sounds like there is something definetly wrong. I have one of these and really like it for telecaster. The bright will pierce your ears when working properly.
