Yeah, the EH Flanger Hoax is a real crazy pedal and depending on the settings you can get pretty close to that "Take it Easy" sound. I've heard for a long time that on the recording of that song he used a Mutron BiPhase. The thing is that it's kind of expensive and hard to dial in and I've...

I had Jay make me a custom bar 1.23 inches in diameter and 3.6 inches in length...kind of a "copy" of my Sneaky Pete steel tonebar. Not only was he super responsive, but he gave me a very, very fair price. After a few weeks, a box came with four different tonebars, all the same size! That'...

Ben, I had the same issue when I went from E9th "normal" steel to my B6 on a Fender 400. For a while, not having knee levers drove me crazy! But, I just kept playing a in a little while, it became second nature. Now I have problems when I go back to playing my E9 guitar with using knee lev...

Jim, good luck with the pickup experiment, looks fun!
Great idea getting rid of the small pulleys for pedals 4 & 7, I should give that a try.

Hey, if you ever get a chance, I'd love to see photos of the underside of your Sneakycaster!

Take care,

Joel

I meant that pedal 8 does the same thing on my B6 (on the high root) as the E to Eb does on an E9th guitar. I did this assuming that *most* forum members don't play an 8 string B6th guitar, so I figured the comparison would help everyone know what I meant. As for the solder issue on the cable, the c...

I think I found the problem last night: the cable on my 8th pedal needed a re-soldering job. I was at my wit's end and tried this as a final idea and it seems to have worked so far...

From what I've seen, the changer fingers look nice and flush, but I'll double check.

Fender 400 tuning problems

I'm experiencing very vexing problems with my Fender 400: Using Sneaky Pete's setup, whenever I press pedal 8 (E to Eb on E9th), my second string returns very sharp. Pressing pedal 7, which raises that string a whole tone, brings it pretty much back to pitch. This is driving me nuts and I have some ...
